Screen freezes and Windows message says 'Bioshock 2 has stopped working' or 'Bioshock 2 not responding'. Never happens when just exploring, using a machine or any non-fighting activity. It seems to always happen in a fight scene while being attacked. In this case, while we are awaiting news on the patch, all I can do is apologize for the inconvenience it has caused and assure you that the BioShock factions were alerted about this issue, and they will do their best to fix it. But Bioshock 2 HD crashes every 40 minutes, or even oftener than that. The more such reports developers will get, the faster the crashes will be dealt with. Thanks to all of you, we've been able to collect enough information about this issue to notify the development team. We have been receiving reports from quite a lot of players in similar situation. Still saved often and managed to beat the game on hardest difficulty without vita chambers. But playing in 1028 resolution and manually disabling 2 cores for game makes in playable for about 2 hour in a row.

Released Febru(PC) Notes: This patch caused errors in the multiplayer portion of the game where holding down the mouse button would not register in the game, meaning that the player would have to constantly tap the mouse button to keep firing a weapon. IE: new objective, getting a sister, etc etc. Yeah been saving after every important moment. Sorry you're running into it - hope you're able to get through 3. One time is enough to provoke a habit of saving every 10 minutes or so.
The camera stops sound for a split second when you start it. This page contains a list of patches which have been released for BioShock 2. I've had Bioshock 2 crash an average of twice per playthrough. It would crash randomly if I killed someone or if I started the camera. This was when I started putting 2 and 2 together. Then I got to Fontaine's area aaaaaannnd then the crashes started. It seemed like sounds were either not playing half the time or like the audio was cutting out. I did notice one issue right off the bat. The crashing is most probably related to binding mouse buttons 4 and 5.
(when you're supposed to see 'Press MB5 to change ammo type' hint). I mapped change ammo type to MB5, so the game crashed. So it seems this feature doesn't turn on unless you restart the game. This causes the game to crash when it tries to display a hint with those buttons. Fast forward to this morning I launched the game again and noticed Reverb worked. I noticed Reverb didn't work so I figured it was like BioShock 1 Remastered where the completely removed it. I did my usual thing of firing up the game and enabling all the features I wanted. Bioshock 2 Remastered (PC) I've made a fix to cure frequent random crashes, it seems to work fine: Press J to jump to the feed. Yesterday was my first time actually playing BIoShock 2 Remastered. I beat the original BioShock 2 when it first came out. If you just want my solution then it's at the very end.
